Artist & Designer
Róisín Gartland, a conceptual designer and artist, established her practice in 1987 and began the process of interweaving design, fine art and craft in 2004. She mainly creates desirable wearable pieces from beautiful leathers and shearlings. Her studio is a regular hive of activity and creation: Visitors include private clients, costume designers, fashion stylists and personal dressers – dropping in to consult with Róisín or commission a design or set piece. There’s always something special in the making…
Róisín collaborates with artists and designers on a variety of projects and exhibitions. Her work is featured in the National Museum of Ireland and the Design & Craft Council of Ireland Collections. Róisín’s unique designs are also available in select outlets worldwide.
